Nelson Cenci (Rimini, February 21, 1919 - Cologne, September 3, 2012) was an Italian physician and writer.
Otorhinolaryngologist surgeon, he was an Alpine in the hard and painful campaign of Russia, where he earned the Silver Medal of Valor as a platoon commander of 55 th company "Vestone".
He's one of the protagonists of "The Sergeant in the Snow" by Mario Rigoni Stern which Ermanno Olmi drew a screenplay for a feature film.
A friend of Federico Fellini and Don Gnocchi from an early age, Nelson said his experience in novels and poems.
